I had the honour of holding the position of Chairperson of the Cork Family Lawyers Association 2024 and 2025. This organisation represents over 130 Family and Child Law Solicitors and Barristers in Cork City and County. The Association, on behalf of its members, has contributed to significant recent developments in the fields of family law including actively engaging with the Department of Justice, the Bar Council of Ireland and the Law Society of Ireland on changes to practice introduced by the Family Courts Act, 2024.
I am very much looking forward to the Cork Family Lawyers Association Conference, which will take place at the River Lee Hotel on 6 November 2026. This will be the third annual CFLA Conference and it promises to be a great opportunity for education, collaboration and catching up with colleagues who practice in family and child law in Cork.
